Raised Protestant. Educated at Saint John’s College, Oxford. Converted to Catholicism. Seminarian at Rheims and Rome, Italy. Ordained in 1583. Returned to England to minister to covert Catholics. Imprisoned four and a half years with Blessed Ralph Crockett. Executed for the crime of being a priest.
