ALEXANDER (Saint) Martyr (March 27) (3rd century) A soldier, described in the Roman Martyrology as having suffered as a Christian in Hungary, under the Emperor Maximian Herculeus, colleague of Diocletian. There is great difficulty in distinguishing this Saint Alexander from Saint Alexander of Thrace (May 13).
