ANTONY (Saint) (December 28) (6th century) By birth a Hungarian, who, after serving God for many years as a hermit of the Alps, passed the last two years of a holy life in the monastery of the Isle of Lerins, off the southern coast of France, where his relics were enshrined. Renowned for the working of miracles, he passed away about the year 526. Saint Ennodius, Bishop of Pavia, wrote a Life of Saint Antony, to be found in Surius.
