ANTONY, MERULUS and JOHN (Saints) (January 17) Confessor (6th century) Three holy monks, disciples of Saint Gregory the Great, in his monastery of Saint Andrew (now San Gregorlo) in Rome, at the close of the sixth century. The great Pope writes at length of their wonderful sanctity and of the miracles by which Almighty God bore witness to it.
