BASSUS, ANTONIUS and PROTOLICUS (February 14) (Saints) Martyrs (Date uncertain.) All the ancient Martyrologies make mention on February 14 of these Saints, and describe them as having been cast into the sea at Alexandria in Egypt, on account of their Faith. Some manuscripts add the names of nine fellow-sufferers with them, but all particulars have long since been lost.
