BENJAMIN (Saint) Martyr (March 31) (5th century) A deacon of the Church in Persia, who having been imprisoned for the Faith, on refusing as a condition of his release the ceasing of his preaching of Christianity, was tortured to death (A.D. 424) under King Varanes (Bahran) V.
