Article

BOETIAN (Saint) (May 22) (7th century) A disciple of Saint Fursey and an Irishman by birth. He built his monastery at Pierrepont, near Laon, in France, and was eventually murdered there by miscreants whom he had sternly rebuked for their vices. His shrine is still a place of pilgrimage, and he is specially invoked in behalf of sick children.
