CAIUS and OTHERS (Saints) Martyrs (March 4) (3rd century) Saint Caius, an officer of the Imperial Palace, together with twenty-seven (some manuscripts have thirty-seven) other Christians, is registered as having been thrown into the sea or into a river, for refusing to renounce their religion, either under Valerian (A.D. 254-259) or in the great persecution under Diocletian at the end of the century, but at what place is not recorded.
