CEOLWULPH (Saint) (January 18) (8th century) The successor of Osric as King of Northumbria. He is the prince to whom Venerable Bede dedicated his Ecclesiastical History. After some years, resigning his crown, he became a monk at Lindisfarne, dying there A.D. 764. Many miracles were wrought at his tomb.
