Book of Saints – Consortia

Article

CONSORTIA (Saint) Virgin (June 22) (6th century) A noble lady of exemplary life, who being greatly persecuted by suitors, withdrew into a convent, built by herself and largely endowed by King Clotaire, out of gratitude for her having miraculously healed his dying daughter. She died about A.D. 570. Very little trust can be put in the extant accounts of this Saint, and it is not unlikely that she flourished at an earlier date than that given above.
