CUMMIANUS (CUMIAN) (Saint) Bishop (August 19) (7th century) An Irish Bishop who resigned his See in order to retire to the monastery founded by Saint Columbanus at Bobbio in the North of Italy, where he lived and died in great fame of sanctity. He was an energetic advocate of the Roman date of Easter. He died, according to some, A.D. 661; to others, A.D. 682.
