DIOMEDES (Saint) Martyr (August 16) (4th century) A native of Tarsus, the birthplace of Saint Paul, by profession a physician and a zealous propagator of Christianity, who was arrested at Nicaea in Bithynia and put to death by Diocletian about A.D. 300.
