ETHELBURGA (TATE) (Saint) Widow. (April 5) (7th century) The daughter of Saint Ethelbert, first Christian king of Kent, and wife of Edwin of Northumbria, after whose death she returned to Kent in company with the holy Bishop Saint Paulinus, and founded the monastery of Lyminge, to which she retired and where she passed away (A.D. 647).
