EVELLIUS (Saint) Martyr (May 11) (1st century) A Councillor of the Emperor Nero, whose conversion to Christianity was 104 brought about by the great patience and constancy of the Christians who suffered under his eyes, and more particularly by the example of the Martyr Saint Torpes. Saint Evellius was beheaded at Pisa A.D. 66 or 67.
