FINIAN (FINDBARR, WINNIN) (Saint) (September 10) Bishop (6th century) An Irish Saint who, after a sojourn in Saint Ninian’s monastery in Strath Clyde, returned to his own country and became Bishop and Abbot of Maghbile. He is reckoned one of the Patron Saints of the Province of Ulster.
