(Saint) (January 29) (6th century) He appears to have been associated with Saint Cadoc at Llancarvan and to have afterwards lived as a hermit in an island off the South coast of Wales. Glastonbury Abbey claimed to have been the scene of his death, and to have possessed his relics. He is often confused with his namesake, the more famous Gildas the Wise.
