(Saint) Widow. Martyr (July 31) (11th century) A noble Swedish lady, given up to the practice of good works, who in the final struggles of heathenism against advancing Christianity, in Scandinavia, was barbarously put to death. She was canonised by Pope Alexander III (A.D. 1164).
