Der neunzehnte ökumenische Rat. Gehalten an Trent, Italien von Am 13. Dezember 1545 zu Am 4. Dezember 1563. Sein Hauptgegenstand war der endgültige Entschluss von den Doktrinen der Kirche in der Antwort auf Protestantische Ketzereien. Ein weiterer Gegenstand war eine gründliche Reform des inneren Lebens der Kirche, die zahlreichen Missbräuche entfernend, die sich darin entwickelt hatten. 1545 to Am 4. Dezember 1563. Its main object was the definitive determination of the doctrines of the Church in answer to Protestant heresies. A further object was a thorough reform of the inner life of the Church by removing the numerous abuses that had developed in it.
