Comprised territory bounded on the north by the bishopric of Dunkeld, south by Glasgow and Saint Andrews, east by Dunkeld and Glasgow, west by Saint Andrews.
The cathedral of Dunblane was erected by David I in 1141 on the site of Saint Blane‘s monastery. In style of architecture it is Early Pointed excepting its tower which is Early Norman. At present it is used as the Presbyterian parish church.
