Brahma

[Brahma]El nombre usado en dos sentidos en la mitología hindú. El sustantivo Sánscrito contiene al bracmán en sus medios de forma neutrales el poder que resulta de rezo o rezo en el extracto, y en la forma masculina significa el que quién posee este poder, de ahí también la casta sacerdotal. Brahma es el nominativo del bracmán. Esto se refiere (esterilizan) a Atman, creador y espíritu mundial, y también (masculino) al aspecto personal de aquella divinidad, la actividad creativa, que se forma con Vishnu y Shiva Trimurti hindú o Trinidad. Dios es representado como barbudo con cuatro cabezas, cada uno coronado con una diadema puntiaguda, y con un cetro. Su templo está en Pushkar, Rajputana. Véase también: Brahmanism.
