La declaración del Pontífice Soberano que los fieles deberían venerar como uno Santo quién había sido beatificado ya. La beatificación permite la veneración del Bendito en ciertos sitios o comunidades: la canonización lo manda en todas partes. El decreto sólo es publicado después de que los Fieles por las Causas de Santos han aceptado la prueba de dos milagros por la intercesión del Bendito quién había sido formalmente beatificado, ocurriendo después de la beatificación y de tres milagros por su parte cuya beatificación había ocurrido sin el proceso ordinario. El Santo ahora tiene derecho a los honores llenos del altar, aunque la misa y el Office no puedan ser ampliados a la iglesia entera.
