Caïn

[Le Meurtre d'Abel]
Le premier-né d'Adam et la Veille. Il est devenu un fermier pendant que son frère Abel a soigné des troupeaux. Chacun a offert un sacrifice à Dieu, qui a accepté ce d'Abel et a rejeté ce de Caïn. Caïn a offert aux cadeaux d'imparfait de Dieu, ou dans l'offre d'une partie de ses marchandises il a différé son coeur. Mis en colère par le refus Divin, Caïn a fait périr son frère; venger son Dieu de sang a prononcé un fléau contre Caïn, l'a banni à la terre de Signe de tête et l'a marqué avec un signe comme une promesse de protection spéciale dans son bannissement. Caïn a fondé Henoch appelé d'une ville après un de ses fils. Each offered a sacrifice to God, who accepted that of Abel and rejected that of Cain. Either Cain offered to God imperfect gifts, or in offering a part of his goods he withheld his heart. Angered by the Divine rejection, Cain slew his brother; to avenge his blood God pronounced a curse against Cain, banished him to the land of Nod, and marked him with a sign as a promise of special protection in his banishment. Cain founded a city named Henoch after one of his sons.
