Père Joseph Bayma

Profil

Mathématicien et scientifique. Il est entré dans la Société de Jésus sur Le 5 février 1832. Exilé de l'Italie en 1860, il a pris le refuge à Stonyhurst, l'Angleterre, où il a écrit son Realis Philosophia. Il est le plus connu pour sa Mécanique Moléculaire, un travail mathématique métaphysique s'occupant de la constitution d'affaire. En 1868 Bayma a quitté l'Angleterre pour Californie, où il a enseigné des mathématiques pendant plusieurs années à Santa Clara et a publié plusieurs manuels scientifiques. 1832. Exiled from Italy in 1860, he took refuge at Stonyhurst, England, where he wrote his Realis Philosophia. He is best known for his Molecular Mechanics, a metaphysical mathematical work dealing with the constitution of matter. In 1868 Bayma left England for California, where he taught mathematics for many years at Santa Clara and published several scientific text-books.
