Writer. She emigrated from Ireland to Montreal, Canada in 1844, and in 1846 married James Sadlier of the publishing house of D. J. Sadlier and Co. Among her works are The Blakes and Flanagans, Bessie Conway, Aunt Honor’s Keepsake, and The Red Hand of Ulster. In 1895 she was awarded the Laetare Medal.
