Saint Aengus

(died 824) Called The Culdee (Gaelic: Ceile De, servant of God) Born near Clonenagh, Ireland; died there. He collaborated with Saint Maelruain in writing a martyrology of Irish saints, and wrote the "Felire," a poetical work on the same subject, which he concluded after he had left the monastery and resumed his hermit's life.
