[Cathedral of Saint Chad, archdiocese of Birmingham, England] Comprises the counties of Warwickshire, Oxfordshire, Staffordshire, West Midlands and Worcestershire. Founded as the Vicariate Apostolic of Midland District on 30 January 1688. In 1840 the name was changed to the Vicariate Apostolic of Central District.
