Chronicon Paschale

A Byzantine chronicle written in the 7th century, following a system of chronology based on the paschal cycle. It is known also as Chronicon Alexandrinum, Antiochenum, Casaubonianum, or Constantinopolitanum. Beginning with the Creation, it is continued down to A.D. 629. The period 600-627 is original work. The author was probably a cleric attached to the Patriarch Sergius.
