John Drumgoole

[John Drumgoole] Priest and philanthropist, born Granard, County, Longford, Ireland, 1816; died New York, New York, USA, 1888. He founded (1881) the Mission of the Immaculate Virgin for homeless and destitute boys, its support being derived from Saint Joseph's Union. The mission's present home is at Mount Loretto, Staten Island.
