Gottfried Wilhelm Leibnitz

[Gottfried Wilhelm Leibnitz] (1 July 1646 - 14 November 1716) Christian mathematician. Credited with inventing differential and integral calculus. Inaugurated the notation of the new calculus. Drew up correct rules for differentiation of sums. First made use of variable parameters. Constructed a triangulum characteristicum. Wrote several valuable treatises on higher mathematics.
