Saint Scholastica

[Saint Scholastica] (Latin: scholarly)

Holy virgin; sister to Saint Benedict of Nursia. Born c.480; died in 542. Dedicated to God as an infant, she is said to have lived in a cell near Sultiaco. Saint Benedict visited her on several occasions for spiritual conferences. Relics at Fleury, Le Mang, and Juvigny. Feast, Roman Calendar, 10 February.
