Franciscan Sisters of the Atonement
The second congregation of the Society of the Atonement, founded at Graymoor, New York in 1898 by Mother Lurana Mary Francis.
They observe the Rule given by Pope Leo X to the Third Order Regular, being affiliated to the Friars Minor by an Indult of 1921.
Their aim is the "reunion of all Christians," and their work is of a missionary character both at home and in the foreign mission field.
The order has manages mission settlements, clinics, a summer camp, and other establishments in the United States, Canada, Italy, and Ireland.
The mother-house is at Graymoor.
