Martyr, born Vendome, France, 1598; died Dibauria, Abyssinia, 1638. He took the Capuchin habit at Le Mans, taught theology at Rennes, and was sent to Egypt to convert the Copts. With Blessed Cassianus he was imprisoned and stoned to death. Beatified, 1904. Feast, Capuchin calendar, 7 August; Franciscan Calendar, 11 August.
