Greek: good. Reigned from 678 to 681. Born in Sicily; died in Rome, Italy. During his pontificate Wilfrid, Bishop of York, was restored to his see, Theodore, Bishop of Ravenna, submitted to papal authority, and the Monothelite heresy was ended by the Sixth AEcumenical Council, held at Constantinople. Feast, 10 January.
