(177) Virgin, martyr, died Lyons. She was a Christian slave, who, with the other martyrs of Lyons, suffered at the hands of the fanatic heathen populace. After being exposed to the wild beasts in the arena and remaining unscathed, she was scourged, placed on a red-hot grate, thrown before a wild steer, and slain with a dagger. Relics in the church of Saint-Leu, Amiens, France. Feast, 2 June.
