Venue Announced for the Catholic New Media Celebration
On Sunday June 22, 2008, SQPN will host the first Catholic New Media Celebration, and last Friday, SQPN officer Greg Willits made it official that the Celebration will be held at the Georgia International Convention Center, the same venue that will host the Eucharistic Congress on 20 and 21 June.
The Celebration will teach you how to get involved in the exciting new media revolution to spread the message of Jesus and the Church. But more that a learning experience, it will be a community event - meet the friends, the podcasters and the fellow listeners you’ve come to know online! It's going to be free, it's going to be fun, and you should be there.

Writers Needed
Dear SQPNers,
We're looking for experienced copywriters who are looking to volunteer some time to help out with some RA and SQPN writing tasks, mainly press releases, website copy, first drafts on articles, and assistance writing first drafts for the narration parts of our new magazine style podcast. The first assignment would be for the narration parts of the new magazine script. We have samples to help you get started.
If you are an experienced writer, familiar with Google docs, and want to help, please send me an email at greg@sqpn.com. Be sure to put "copywriter" in the subject line. That way it'll automatically get filed in the right folder and won't get lost with my other email. :)
Be sure to include:
- A resume
- Writing samples
- Availability
Again, this is an unpaid volunteer position, but it's a position that we really need help with. We could potentially use two or three experienced writers. God willing, as SQPN grows, this could be something that becomes permanent, but we need to start small and pray for the best.
Thanks much, and we look forward to reading some of your samples!

Several of the SQPN podcasters use Twitter.com. If you Twit, you might be interested in these ID's.

Last week's questions
- For what is Albino Luciani most famous?
- Is a Franciscan also a medicant?
- Yes. Mendicant orders take vows of poverty, renounce all proprietorship individually and in common, and rely for support on their own work and on charity.
- Who founded the Christian Brothers
So now, there's some other stuff I want to know.
- Let's say you're Catholic. What does that word actually mean?
- What's a stole, and who uses one?
- Name three angels.
Answers next time.
