Pope HONORIUS I

Profile: Supported missionaries, and sent Saint Birinus to evangelize Britain. The feast of the Elevation of the Cross was instituted during his pontificate. He worked to reconcile the Monophysites to the Church; because he was seen to be to easy on the heretics, he was condemned by councils many years after his death.
