Son of Cyriacus. A learned, educated and energetic man. Deacon. Represented the pope at the Sixth AEcumenical Council, returning to Rome in July, 682. 82nd pope. Brought the dioceses of Sardinia into union with Rome. Noted for his generosity to the clergy and the poor.
