Nothing is known for certain about his early life. Cardinal of Saint Peter and Vincula. Chosen 114th pope. Very little is known about his short reign. Granted the pallium to Vitalis, Patriarch of Grado. Confirmed the Spanish bishops of Elna and Gerona. Deposed after a three month reign by one of the warring factions in Rome, and spent the rest of his days as a monk.
