Following a wild and misspent youth, Andrew became a Carmelite at Florence, Italy. Studied at Paris and Avignon, France. Prior. Provincial of Tuscany, Italy in 1348. Bishop of Fiesole, Italy on 13 October 1349. Had the gifts of prophecy and miracles. Noted peacemaker between quarreling Italian houses.
