Bishop of Comana, Pontus (in Asia Minor). Tortured by being forced into heated iron boots, and then martyred in the persecutions of emperor Maximian and the governor Agrippa.

Died

• beheaded in 312 at Comana, Pontus (in modern Turkey)
• body thrown into a river
• in 407 he appeared in a vision to Saint John Chrysostom
