Worked as a carver in the imperial quarries at modern Sremska Mitrovica, Serbia for emperor Diocletian. Imprisoned for refusing to sacrifice to pagan gods during the persecutions of Diocletian. Tortured and executed after being falsely accused of the murder of an imperial officer named Lampadius, which eliminated a Christian and took suspicion off the real killer. One of the Four Crowned Martyrs.
