Spiritual student of Saint Benedict of Nursia. Benedictine monk. Worked to spread monasticism throughout Italy, bringing many scholars and future saints to the religious life and the Benedictine Order. Pope Saint Gregory the Great refers to Equitius in his Dialogues.
