Nephew of Saint Columba of Iona. Missionary to the Picts. Founded a monastery in Donegal, Ireland. When Saint Columba died, Ernan had a vision of Columba’s soul ascending to heaven. Saint Adamnan of Iona mentioned Ernan in his writings.
