Profile
Prince of Mercia, the son of Wigmund of Mercia and Ælfflæd, daughter of King Ceolwulf I of Mercia. Killed in his youth by his regent Bertulph, king of Mercia, for opposing the marriage of Bertulph to Wistan’s mother. Some writers have considered him a martyrs.
