Roman soldier assigned to guard a group of Egyptian Christians imprisoned for their faith in the persecutions of Decius. During their trial he encouraged the prisoners not to apostatize. Arrested as a Christian, he was martyred with Saint Ammon, Saint Ingen, Saint Ptolomy, and Saint Theophilis.
