Prior of Saint Mary Magdalen monastery, Provence, France, a noted pilgrimage site; tradition says it is one of the places where Saint Mary Magdalen went after the Crucifixion, and the monastery laid claim to her relics.
Supported missionaries and preached home missions.
Noted artist in his day, especially known for his manuscript illuminations.
