- Hermit for 15 years at Bourges, France.
At age 33 he travelled to Rome and received papal ordination as a missionary bishop.
Missionary to Flanders, Belgium, to the Slavs in Carinthia, and to the Basques in Navarre.
He founded many monasteries the best known of which is Elnon, near Tournai, Belgium.
In his last years he retired there as a monk.
