Bishop of Seleucia and Ctesiphon in 342. Arrested and tortured with sixteen priests in the persecutions of King Shapur II; the names of his companions has not come down to us. He was offered a cup filled with gold coins if he would worship the Persian god; he declined. Martyred with the sixteen priests.
