Blessed Christopher of Milan

Profile: Nothing is known of his early life. Joined the Dominican at San Eustorgio convent, Milan, Italy. Travelling preacher throughout Italy. Abbot at Our Lady of Mercy abbey, Taggai, Italy. Had the gift of prophecy, foreseeing plague, flood and invasion by Turks. Wrote four works on sermon preparation; the citations in them indicate extensive study of the early Church Fathers.
Died: 1484 at Our Lady of Mercy convent, Taggia, Italy of natural causes
Beatified: 1875 by Pope Pius IX (cultus confirmed)
