Brother of Saint Gorgonia and Saint Gregory.
Served in the court of Emperor Julian the Apostate who tried to get Caesarius to renounce his faith.
Moved to Bithynia where he served Emperor Valens.
Confirmed bachelor, though he had offers to marry into nobility.
Upon his death he donated his entire estate to the poor.
